Community Service projects are a great way to span the communication barriers, develop trust and camaraderie within the group. The participants work together to accomplish one common goal and that is giving to the community in an unselfish way.
We all want to make a difference in this world. Here is a rare opportunity to actually do so, with immediate, tangible results built into the process. This is an extraordinary way to infuse energy, create a feeling of immense good will and a sense of meaning larger than day-to-day work challenges. If you want an event that your people will never forget, this is the one.
We will work with various area non-profit organizations to create projects for the group. Each project is designed to be approximately 2-3 hours long with tasks that all the participants can complete. The projects may be moving sand, rock or planting a reflection garden. Inside the various projects wall will be painted, shelving installed, food boxes prepped, making blankets, stuffing care bags. The tasks are numerous and need helping hands to complete them.
We will coordinate the various projects to insure that the organizations have enough jobs and tasks available for the number of participants. The group will be provided the materials and supplies, tools, gloves and expertise.
Examples of non-profits that need help are:
- St Vincent de Paul or Saint Mary’s Food Bank – Clothing and Food distribution. The group can take canned goods with them to help fill the food bank and then fill much needed food boxes.
- Various Boys and Girls Clubs – painting and landscaping
- Teen Mothers Homes – Landscaping and cleaning
- Child Crisis Center – Work on cleaning the facility
These event is designed to have a positive impact on a number of under-served non-profit organizations in the community. The program will allow members of the group to choose a project that they are interested
The group will be divided into work groups of 5-10 people depending on the needs of the organization. We can also have some of the group remain at the resort and work on some less physical projects.
